The word bespoke itself is derived from the verb bespeak, meaning to "speak for something", or to “be spoken for”. Bespoke clothing is traditionally cut from a pattern specifically crafted for an individual client, and so differs from ready-to-wear, which is factory made in finished condition of standardized sizes, and from made-to-measure, produced to order from a pre-cut pattern. With the technological advancements in manufacturing and the progressions made in the production of materials, today’s bespoke clothing can closely compare in price to better off-the-rack clothing. The major difference results in a custom crafted garment specifically tailored for an individual client.

Today we celebrate the 250th year of our country's independence! Congress voted in favor of our independence on July 2nd and the declaration was adopted by our Founding Father's on July 4th, 1776. The document was then signed by the majority of the fifty-six delegates of the thirteen colonies on August 2nd, officially separating us from Britain.
