I’ve been sewing a little for Fall. The first 2 pictures are really one quilt coat that is reversible… the quilt jacket has a Peter Pan collar and slash pockets…. The flannel duster is made from several distressed, loved flannels… and the butterfly sweatshirts were made before the sad news of Dolly. All available at The Dandy Lion!

I always felt melancholy when summer ended and I had to send the kids back to school. (I still feel that way, after all these years). I’m thinking Amy Benton has those same feelings.

Kanthas, kanthas, kanthas…. What are they?
Kanthas are recycled fabrics patched together and “quilted” with a loose handstitch. They are reversible, no 2 are alike, made in India. I have a new shipment in… they are so versatile!

Use them as a bedspread, a throw, a shower curtain, a wall hanging, a tablecloth, a curtain… I have sewn them into pants and jackets and tops! They have a boho feeling, rich colors and unusual designs and can make a room happy! This time of year, they are popular in dorm rooms.

And, the best part? They are still under $30! Come see my new selection atThe Dandy Lion. I will have them in there by noon today!
