Yesterday, we sold out of every single Branded Collection Wristlet on the website. I know so many were upset they didn’t see our posts or email in time. Well, luck has struck and we found SEVEN more in the workshop! They are live on the website and still $80! Some people have names that accidentally match their profession. It’s called an aptronym. Think Baker the baker, Smith the blacksmith… or in our case, Tanner the leatherworker.
This has been a tremendous year for our small shop. We’ve learned a lot, experimented with new designs, and met customers who appreciate handcrafted leather as much as we do.
As the business continues to grow and stabilize, we’re entering a new phase. We’re in the process of refining our product line and our sourcing.
When things really took off for Appa Bag Works in 2025, we were moving so fast we didn’t have time to step back and refine the process. Now that the dust has settled a bit, we’re streamlining our product line and refining our sourcing so we can offer even more consistency in our materials and even stronger craftsmanship in every piece we make.
And yes… still made by a guy named Tanner.
Lately we’ve been visiting tanneries and suppliers as we refine our materials. Sometimes life really does lean into the joke… especially when your name is Tanner and you work with leather.

The Tote is made entirely of full grain leather and the straps are made from buffalo (the same leather as our belts).
