When you set out to share your own art/handmade products with the world having a fully functional website is the first place to start once your product is customer ready. (2013)After spending a few weeks researching and asking a few fellow business owners what was the best e-commerce platform to use for all scales of business from the handmade single person shop to a major brand with Warehouse distribution we landed on and we are glad we did. The array of options and intuitive configurations really allowed us to create a clean site that would have otherwise taken us weeks or months to sort out if left to our own skill sets (We had zero experience 😳) Using their in-house and or access to api 3rd party tools had us up on production within 2-3 hours( most of that time is spent typing descriptions for your products and variants) Shopify offers some great free templates and some incredible paid ones at a very discounted cost for the quality..What Shopify has to offer is way to much to list here but I encourage you to check them out. There are 3 options to choice from and even vacation mode. ) sorry I sound like a commercial we only want to offer some helpful thoughts on this topic and hopefully this was helpful for you. *disclaimer: these are our on thoughts an opinions and felt it could be helpful for anyone just starting out or not happy with there current provider*
