Hi, friends!

It's been a while since I've posted here on my business account - almost 5 months.

I've been staying busy fulfilling orders in the background and have been so grateful for each and every one of them. They help support my family and this labor of love 🥰

I'm normally a person who likes to work behind the scenes, not calling too much attention to myself. If I'm with friends though, you can't get me to stop talking 🤪

I wanted to post an update and ask for prayers from my lovely followers 🙏 Since last year I have been dealing with some health issues and really thinking more about my own mortality than I ever imagined I would at this age. An acute health issue in June of last year led to some imaging that led to an incidental finding in my lung, and imaging on my lung led to incidental findings on my thyroid.

It wasn't until today when a friend shared about her own thyroid nodule diagnosis in her Instagram stories that I thought to reach out to this supportive community and ask for prayers as well.

Last year I was diagnosed with a pulmonary AVM and thyroid nodules. The AVM in my left lung was basically like a shunt that allowed unfiltered blood to pass through where it shouldn't be. Imagine the capillaries in your lungs like branches in a tree that taper down into small points. Normally they help filter out bubbles and bacteria from the blood before it reaches your brain. An AVM is like no filter, which left me at an increased risk of stroke and brain abscess.

Luckily in December I was able to get a plug put in my lung through a catheter that was inserted through my femoral artery, up into and through my heart, and down into my left lung, all while I was awake but sedated 😬

I also received molecular testing results back from a biopsy on my right side thyroid nodule and I have a 45-60% risk of thyroid cancer due to the atypical cells and gene mutation that was found. I had a biopsy in January of this year on my small left side nodule that came back benign, praise Jesus! 🙌

So all this to say, I have been having major medical anxiety and have basically tried to push forward through the anxiety and exhaustion. (Continued in comments...)
