Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing Moms, Aunties, mentors, Fur Baby moms — you name it!
What I ask on this Mother’s Day is something my own mom embodied so beautifully: grace. I suggest to all of you, especially the women in this country and this community, to always remember to proceed with grace.
Sadly, today’s world is often so quick to judge. Judge someone by their looks, their attitude, the choices they’ve made, their successes or struggles. People are so quick to place others into neat little boxes. I challenge you all to embrace the motherly instinct in women and to dive deeper and open yourselves a bit more. Question an encounter. Why were they cross? Maybe they are deeply hurting. Maybe their life looks nothing like yours, yet you can still find common ground.
Reach out to others and surprise yourself! Small gestures go a long way, use your knowledge for good and elevate those around you.
“We sure didn’t get enough time with you, Mom, but you taught us well. That quiet, strong, magnetic force. A mother to so many, not just my sister and me. You embodied grace to me, and I strive for that in all I do. Barb and I were so lucky to call you Mom. ❤️”

PS: My Mom often liked dogs better than humans and she knew people by their dogs🐶
