One of the things we love most at FABRIC is seeing brands grow. ❤️

Years ago, one of our clients came to FABRIC with an idea for a sewn medical device product. Together, we helped bring that concept to life through product engineering, digital patternmaking, tech packs, sample/prototype development, and small-batch production runs that helped the company launch and grow.

As the brand scaled, they eventually transitioned into larger production runs with specialty overseas factories... which is exactly the goal. We want to help entrepreneurs get to the point where they can scale successfully.

Now, years later, they’re back at FABRIC to produce a small fill-in batch quicker than their overseas factory can handle. It’s such a full-circle moment and a reminder that flexible local manufacturing still matters.

While FABRIC no longer operates in-house production through FABRIC employees, the same services are still available through our incredible network of affiliate partners. Through these partnerships, entrepreneurs can still access:
• Patternmaking
• Tech packs
• Samples & prototypes
• Grading & markers
• Production cut & sew
• Printing
• And more

Our partners can work from their own studios/factories or utilize FABRIC’s makerspace, equipment, and tools when needed.

This ecosystem is exactly what FABRIC was built for... helping entrepreneurs launch, grow, scale, and adapt at every stage of business. 🚀

Need a fashion idea sketched for your brand? Or want a beautiful custom fashion illustration of yourself or as a unique gift? ✍️✨

We offer professional fashion illustration services for brands, individuals, organizations, festivals, private parties, and more.

I have worked as a professional fashion illustrator and educator for decades and had the honor of learning from legendary illustrator Nancy Riegelman, author of 9 Heads....the iconic book used in fashion schools around the world.

While AI can generate images instantly, there is something much more meaningful about artwork created by hand. A hand-drawn fashion sketch carries the vision, emotion, and personal touch of a real artist, making each piece truly one of a kind. 💫

Message us if you are interested in commissioning an illustration!

We are incredibly grateful to Grapevine Giving's Fashion Industry for Sustainability Circle for their surprise donation!...

We are incredibly grateful to Grapevine Giving's Fashion Industry for Sustainability Circle for their surprise donation! This is the second time their circle has chosen to invest in our mission.

Unrestricted donations like this truly help nonprofits like ours exist. Being able to cover essential operating expenses and basic organizational costs lifts a significant burden that can otherwise become a stressful and costly distraction from the work that matters most. This support gives us the ability to focus less on survival and more on impact.

Because of the generosity of donors like this, we can continue doing what we are truly here to do: empowering sustainable fashion designers and slow fashion brands across the United States as we work toward our vision of creating a better fashion industry.

Thank you Grapevine FIS Circle for believing in this mission and for helping make this work possible. Your support means more than you know.

We’re still on such a high from this past weekend… ✨💛

FABRIC: A Bedtime Story was everything we hoped it would be and more. From the cozy, eclectic lounge we created inside Hackett House (Thank you and ), to a room filled with the people who have shaped this journey, it truly felt like stepping inside the story of FABRIC.

Seeing our community gathered together, most of you in your most fashionable pajamas, sharing in laughter, memories, and reflection as the story unfolded… it’s something we will never forget.

We were incredibly honored to receive a Congressional Commendation from recognizing the impact of the past 10 years. To celebrate that moment surrounded by our community made it even more meaningful.

A heartfelt thank you to Congressman Stanton, and fashion icon for sharing your words and being part of such a special evening.
And of course, the .you.doll fashion show with all of the diverse and beautiful models brought such a wonderful, vintage-inspired energy to the night. It was the perfect expression of feminine power, creativity, sustainability, and storytelling.

To everyone who attended, thank you for showing up, for being part of this journey, and for celebrating this milestone with us. This story is yours just as much as it is ours.

To our volunteers, participants, and everyone who helped bring this vision to life, we are endlessly grateful. This night would not have been possible without you.

And thank you to our Eco Fashion Week sponsors, including Cox Charities, , and also to for helping us offer carbon offsets so attendees and participants could reduce the impact of their footprint in attending the event.
10 years, 2,500+ entrepreneurs served, $15M+ in programs and resources… and a community that continues to show up with so much heart.

We’re still soaking it all in. Thank you for being part of the story. Cheers to the next 10 years! 💫

And thank you to our photographers whose beautiful photos are featured here. We'll share more as the rest come in.

Join us this Thursday for our next Behind The Seams at FABRIC! ♻️✨

This month, we’re diving into our new Sew-cular Exchange program… an initiative designed to keep textiles in circulation and out of landfills. I’ll be sharing how the program works, how you can participate, and how together we can build a more sustainable, circular fashion community.

Bring any fabric you no longer need (1 yard or more), and we’ll help re-home it. Plus, you can browse and take home free fabric for your next project!
We’ll also be spotlighting one of our amazing longtime volunteers, Dianna Voisin, who has been quietly rehoming fabric scraps for years. I’ll be sitting down with her to talk about her experience, why this work matters, and the impact it’s already making.

Whether you’re a designer, maker, or just curious about sustainable fashion, this is a great chance to connect, learn, and leave inspired (and maybe with some new materials too 😉).

📅 This Thursday April 30th at 6pm

🎟️ Free to attend with RSVP https://fabricincubator.com/community/behind-the-seams/

Let’s keep textiles out of the landfill and in the hands of creatives who will bring them to life 💚
