My weekend WIP! I am knitting my 4th! Throwover by DreaReneeKnits. All of my previous knits were in discontinued yarn bases and I really wanted a sample in my current Plush Worsted yarn bases.

I am using Concord for the main color and Gourd, Secret Garden, and Lichen for the colorwork.

I think this is my favorite version yet!

I’m dyeing my butt off these days as I get ready for Fiber Festival of New England next month! I’m going to be bringing all of my yarn bases and some special colorways this year.

Looking for a fun quick knit that wears great? I just knit The Age of Brass and Steam in October’s color of the month and it basically flew off the needles! This free Ravelry pattern has been knit over 16k times since its release in 2010 so you know it’s a good one!

You probably forgot I was knitting a Yarnkeeper Vest and admittedly it did languish a bit- but she’s finally done!

As you can see I modified it a bit to be a tunic length with a wide ribbed boarder- think 2011, skinny jeans and flats, that is absolutely the vibe I was going for. I had plenty of yarn and thought I would get more wear out of it for the winter months if I added some length and while it took longer, I’m so glad I did it!

The pattern is by my faves Wool & Pine and I used Cottage DK in Breakwater for the main and accents in just about every colorway from my Cottage Collection of non-superwash merino wool. I had a ton of leftovers kicking around from knitting color swatches and this was the perfect project to put a dent in my stash.

Now I just need to weave in all these ends. 😬

Heads up my friends- shop hours are changing for Fall! I’ll be closing on Saturdays for now and Wednesdays I am open again 10-3.

That includes tomorrow and I am so sorry for the late notice but I’ve had one heck of a week. I will be at Joann Walsh-Hawkes in Braintree, Massachusetts for a trunk show from 10:30-3:30 for the Cape & South Shore Yarn Haul so stop by if you’re in the neighborhood!
