Chandler and I started AVYN 3 years ago much like how many businesses are formed. We saw a need on the market and we set out to fulfill that need. In a state of sleep-deprived, frustrated, mom-brain delirium, we commiserated over the trials and tribulations of motherhood and questioned why are the majority of nursing bras on the market so terribly frumpy? WHY?

We were an unstoppable force from the beginning. Combined with Chandler’s design skills and my background in Nursing, we created a nursing bra that is not only functional, but also stylish and versatile. Having recently stumbled our way through the 4th Trimester, we knew firsthand how vulnerable and foreign a woman can feel in her own body and clothes. Our goal was to design a bra that supported postpartum women during their transition into motherhood not only for breastfeeding, but also doing all the things that once defined them as individuals, whether that’s going to a barre class, meeting a friend for lunch, or heading to work as a #momboss. We’re proud of our brand mission and after 3+ years of research, creating samples, testing prototypes, and launching our business, we can’t help but think MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.
