They knock s**t over.
They sit directly on whatever you’re trying to use.
They scream for food while standing beside a full bowl.
They leave hair on clothes they’ve never even touched.

And somehow… we’d die for them. 🥹

I have always been inpired by Jackie O’s fashion sense. I have spent decades learning about it. Why is it that not one single book that I have read mentions Ann Cole Lowe? Do a quick Google search! She should be in our textbooks!! Talk about this fashion pioneer!!!! 👑

Allow us to introduce Ann Cole Lowe. Born in Alabama in 1898 the granddaughter of a plantation seamstress. Married at 14 to a man 10 years her senior. She soon left to make dresses for Southern society women. By 21, had her own dress shop. By 31, had $20,000 saved and moved to NY. In 1947, went to Paris Fashion week. Upon her return she got a job at Saks 5th Ave. Her dresses sold at Neiman Marcus, Henri Bender, and Saks. She was making up to $300,000 a year in 1950. In 1953 she made Jacqueline Kennedy’s wedding gown. Ann passed away in 1981 at the age of 82.
