💜 Moving Forward 💜 To say this is an emotional moment for me is an understatement. I have grieved every second of every day since Dylan died by su***de on September 17, 2023. I have grieved loudly and quietly, alone and surrounded by my tribe. There are still many steps to take in this journey and this announcement symbolizes the first step towards acceptance.
May is Mental Health Awareness Month, making it the perfect time to announce the development of a new su***de intervention program called the Purple Note Project. The Purple Note Project is an outreach program focused on su***de intervention founded to honor the memory of Dylan Holley. The official launch of the program will be during Su***de Prevention Month in September which also marks the first anniversary of Dylan’s death.
This program will provide ancillary mental health support through a series of personalized handwritten notes. The messages are designed to foster connections that make a significant difference in the lives of those at risk of attempting su***de. These notes are more than just purple pieces of paper. They are unconditional gestures of kindness that can be life-saving. Consistent reminders to the recipient that they are valued and someone is thinking of them.
