Having the fire directly effect us was scary. It also showed us firsthand how brave the rescue crew is and how hard they work. We have been evacuated before but I personally have not had flames so close and thinking we would lose it all.

I would like to ask that everyone please DO NOT drive towards fires. Please DON’T try to get closer to see what is happening. I cannot tell you how many people were racing towards the fire while we were being evacuated watching the flames getting closer and closer to our ranch. Not only does it hurt to see people excited about our crisis but also makes it harder for rescuers to do what they need to do. We couldn’t believe how many people were racing towards the fire. Please just remember that it’s making everything harder for all involved. I know it’s not done to make anything worse but it does. Also please give the people involved some time to get back and deal with any problems they may have.
