Summer Sales Associate – Full-Time & Part-Time

Looking for a fun summer job in downtown Traverse City? Join our locally owned shoe store team! We’re hiring energetic, dependable, and friendly team members for full-time and part-time summer positions, with opportunities to stay on after the season.
This position is ideal for high school students, college students home for the summer, or anyone seeking a flexible, active retail environment.
Pay
• Starting at $16/hour
• Pay based on experience and performance
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone who:
• Enjoys working with people
• Has a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Works well in a team environment
• Is dependable and detail-oriented
• Is comfortable in a fast-paced retail setting
No shoe industry experience? No problem — we’re happy to train the right person.
• Morning or afternoon part-time shifts available
• Weekend availability required
• Some holiday availability required
Full-time availability should align with store hours:
• Monday–Saturday: 9 AM – 6 PM
• Sunday: 11 AM – 4 PM
Required work day: First Friday in August (Downtown Sidewalk Sale)
We are closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Day, and Easter.
Responsibilities
• Greet and assist customers
• Recommend footwear and merchandise based on customer needs
• Operate the cash register and process payments
• Maintain product knowledge and promotions
• Stock, organize, and display merchandise
• Maintain a clean and organized store environment
• Handle exchanges, returns, and warranty requests
• Work collaboratively with teammates to provide excellent service
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Work Location: In person
