A Sunday dump. We are so lucky 🍀 with all this gorgeous crispy fall weather. I am taking advantage of it but not for granted. What a dream.
1. We opened up a “men’s section” this week. I have been against it because truly gender is not binary, but also we have tons of masc clothing and we want to share it with you, and make it as easy as possible to find. So walk in, take an immediate left, masc and men’s is now in the front room.

Whew! What a busy weekend at the shop, it feels like a kind of last hurrah. Maybe next weekend 🤞🏻 I have had a decent amount of time to pull some stuff from the storage basement and tackle some soaking, excited to get some new things on the floor and update the website regularly this fall. I always say s**t like that and it never happens but maybe after 6 seasons it will. Probs not though.

OOTD alert 🚨
This is a vulnerable GRWM, I’ve not been one to talk into the camera much, but as I have spent more and more time trying to create creative outfits, I figured I would show you the process from start to finish.
I really want people to see the potential in the pieces they love but maybe struggle to style, whether they be coming from their own closet or a vintage shop.
Practice taking pieces you love from your closet and trying to put them together with more unexpected patterns or textures to create more visual interest. Or dm me a pic and I can help guide you!

Today marks 4 years sober from alcohol.
I just finished up the 6th summer season of slip. as a brick and mortar, this is such a lovely cherry on top of an amazing season. I am so lucky. I have a beautiful family, and a cool ass life. I am strong, physically and mentally. I ride my bike farther than I ever thought I could. I care about my body, my brain. I plan for the future. I take steps to go slow when I need it, say no when I have to, and I’m in a period of rest I never thought was possible now. I am less anxious, less self-destructive, less embarrassed. I never thought any of this was possible, for so long I was the type of person who was all talk and no action. But I’m so proud of myself now for who I am and who I am continuously growing into, and I have a feeling it’s only going to get better.
The second photo is one of my senior photos. I had been drinking a few years by then, I started binge drinking and using alcohol at 15. When I look at her, I feel so proud of that girl who did what she needed to do to survive. I think she would be proud of me, for who I’ve become and who I keep pushing to be.
Thanks for making my dream a reality friends.
