“So even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow,

I still have a dream.

It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream. I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.”
- Martin Luther King, Jr. : “I Have a Dream” Speech (1963)

We still have that dream today.
We have that dream .

Celebrate the past. Inspire the future.

Our name is derived from the year 1921. The year marking one of the deadliest massacres on American soil, the Tulsa Race Massacre.

On May 31, 1921, Tulsa’s Greenwood District, also known as Black Wall Street, was burned to the ground by a white mob. Prior to this massacre that took hundreds of lives and destroyed hundreds of black owned businesses, Greenwood was home to the most affluent black entrepreneurs of their time.

Just a few years after the massacre, the Greenwood District was rebuilt. 1921 was meant to be the year they killed the entrepreneurial spirit, but today, we use it as symbol of resilience.
