Did you know these beautiful blue and white spongeware pitchers are a piece of East Texas history? Handcrafted by Byrd Pottery in Tyler, Texas, between 1932 and 1960, these ceramics are highly prized by collectors today.

While J.J. Byrd started the company, it was his wife, Maude "Mama" Byrd, who designed and personally decorated many of these iconic cream and cobalt blue pieces to sell to tourists and locals alike.
