Good morning friends! I am soooo blow away and overwhelmed by all of your messages that came in! I’m so happy that so many of you are scooping up the prints and sizes of items you wanted! I am going through messages one by one in the order they came in, writing a list of who has claimed what, and confirming with a message back to you whether the items are available or not!
I am so sorry that some of you will not get your first choice on items- there have been dozens and dozens of messages coming through all night, many with requests for the same items. I will delete the items from the list once they have been paid for.
It is important for you to make payment asap so I don’t hold aside items that someone else is hoping for!!
I am also so humbled and emotional from messages that shared your love for pieces I made and why they are part of your memories. I know that feeling of a special piece of clothing or other item and how it can bring you back to a moment in time, if even just for a flash.
You have all been a part of my story and I am so, truly thankful.

As many of you have previously seen, I am officially closing my shop, Plaid Pine Designs. The costs of fabric, markets, website and more, exceed what I can reasonably charge for my handmade items, and it just didn’t make sense to run my hobby as a business anymore. I have absolutely loved sewing for you all over the years and have greatly appreciated your support and love and excitement for my handmade items!!
I have a large inventory of leftover items and samples that I am clearing out and have posted in my story highlights. Let me know if you have any questions on items!! I would love for these treasured pieces to get to those who love them!! ❤️❤️❤️

Happy weekend everyone!! ❤️
The time has come for Plaid Pine Designs to close up shop, and this weekend will be our last in person event- for the foreseeable future! I set a goal for myself to sew through all of the fabrics I’ve accrued over the last few years, and am offering the finished products to you at a huge discount! Stay tuned to stories for in stock, ready to ship items, this weekend!! Everything will be listed at less than half the original retail price!
I have absolutely loved sewing for you all, and it has been a gigantic joy in my life to provide you all with quality, handmade, heirloom items to pass on to those you love. It has been my pleasure to create special items you’ve chosen for your Littles or for gifts, and I wish I could do it forever. Fabric costs have soared, and the price of locally sourced, artist created, quality fabrics, has surpassed what I charge for individual items. (Full transparency- a single yard of organic cotton from Spoonflower now costs over $36 to print and ship to my sewing studio- not including tags, thread, sewing time or packaging- website costs, market fees, credit card merchant fees and more! and most of my items take a yard or two, or more of fabric!)
I’ve looked at my small business as a way to do something that I love, while also making a small profit- meeting new people, and getting the chance to make super cute clothing items for people that wanted them! And it has been one of my favorite creative outlets I’ve been super proud of and good at. ❤️
The numbers just don’t make sense anymore to keep this outlet as a business- and it is time to clear the shelves of the Plaid Pine sewing studio! I am not getting rid of my sewing machine, and I can still purchase fabric anytime I need to. So if there is an item you have had in mind, or would really love to have made- reach out to me via DM here on insta, and I would be honored to be considered! I am so grateful for all of your support over the years, and I have loved seeing your kiddos grow up over this time wearing the clothing that I made!! So many of you have shared photos of your loves wearing the items you purchased from me at a market, and then shared more of your nieces/nephews/ friends kids, wearing those same items with rave reviews!!

Very excited to join the this year for their holiday marketplace!! This event has been on my radar for years but I’ve always had conflicts arise for their weekend event! But this is the year!! Come on by Saturday and see the biggest selection of locally made goods! I’ve been hard at work in all the spare moments here, sewing with allllll of my fabrics I’ve collected over the years! I’ll have lots of toddler size items and baby items as well! I will not have any sizes with me larger than 5/6T. If there are pieces you love but want in a larger size, please reach out and we can discuss ordering options!

Helllllllo Instagram!!! It. Has. Been. A Minute!!
I feel like summer just started and here we are- some schools are already going back this week and we are not that far off now here in MA! I have been soaking up ALL the time with my boys lately- between sports and travel, lazy days and everything else- I have not been present here on the ‘Gram, but I assure you I am working silently behind the online social media scenes, to make your sweet custom clothing orders and stock up the inventory for Fall and Winter upcoming markets. I have vowed to myself that I need to use allll of the fabrics I’ve accrued so as to not waste a bit of it! So you’ll see a LOT of repeat prints in different styles this season. And, as always- if you have an idea in mind for a custom outfit- just send me a message and I’ll be ready to assist with your Little Love’s customized clothing!
