Happy Paraprofessional Day to all you paras out there

01/04/2026

So I’ve realized we are coming up on Midwest Mauves 5 year anniversary and I’ve never properly introduced myself on here…

For those who haven’t met me - Hey, I’m Makayla! The face behind the page and the one designing and creating all of your signs and apparel from start to finish.

I’m a mother of four beautiful children, wife of a hardworking farmer and a part time para at our local elementary school. So as you can imagine, “free time” isn’t exactly a thing around here 😅

Somehow, in between all of that, I’m still here creating, designing and bringing your ideas to life and I truly love every single second of it. Even if it means working during nap time, late nights or with a kid yelling “mom” in the background every 10 minutes.

If you’ve been thinking about ordering a custom sign or apparel for your business, bachelorette party, party bus, etc. I would absolutely love to be the one to make it for you! Don’t hesitate to reach out anytime. I am always happy to chat and help create something you’ll forever love.

Thank you so much for supporting my small business. It truly means everything 🫶🏼

As always; Support your small, local businesses!

Xo,
Mak

Yessss! Love the looks of this 😍
And if you don’t know what this is… SIGNS!

It was a good week for people ordering. Whether it’s for Easter, Spring, your porch, because you’re spring cleaning, redecorating or just simply need a sign - Reach out! Hit me up! I would love to help you out 😁

PSA.. If you have sent me a message in the last two days, I’m not ignoring you. I have been down bad with influenza. I will get back to you as soon as I can lift my head again.

Thank you for understanding!

✨ New Year, New Focus ✨

Hey guys! I’m back after a much needed break and to regroup. With the new year and going into my FIFTH year as the owner of Midwest Mauve, I’m making some exciting updates to my business!

Moving forward, I’ll be shifting my focus to apparel for businesses or orders with 10 or more pieces. I will still be doing custom signs however, I will have standard sizes set at certain prices then will quote based on design and detail. Which will allow me to put more time and creativity into the areas I’m most passionate about. With that being said, all current apparel located in Sullivans in Mineral Point will 50% OFF while supplies last. (I will still be putting Mineral Point apparel in store for all you Pointers 💙)

And now for my BIG news…

As many have seen, I made my husband a custom bar, as seen below, for Christmas.. Midwest Mauve is officially offering custom bars with epoxy tabletops! 🍻

Each bar is fully custom, handcrafted and designed to fit your space and style. Perfect for home bars, man caves, shops and businesses. Because every build is unique, pricing will be quote based. As it depends on design, detail and build time. No mass production - Just high end, custom work made to last.

Thank you all for the continued support. I’m incredibly excited for this next chapter and can’t wait to bring your ideas to life in 2026 ✨

📌 Important Update

I wanted to let everyone know that I will NO longer be taking orders for the remainder of the year. This time of year is incredibly overwhelming, and I need to focus on completing current orders and taking care of everything happening behind the scenes.

I truly appreciate every single person who has supported my business and helped it grow. Your trust and continued support mean more than you know.

Thank you for understanding, and I look forward to starting fresh in the new year. Stay tuned as there will be some major changes to Midwest Mauve starting in 2026. 🎄❄️

Mak
