In 2007 Susie Cassel and Wendy Partain began creating one-of-a-kind mittens from wool sweaters. Since then, it has expanded to a line of upcycled wool products worn by thousands and available in a growing number of stores and sales throughout the Chicagoland area.

Let’s GO!!! Our mittens are headed to Harvard, Ma., to the delightful Harvard General Store . Anyone near Boston, please make a trip to this store, located in the heart of Harvard. You’ll find gourmet coffee & a great little cafe, everyday grocery needs including local maple syrup, craft beers and fine wines. Plus, along with a wonderful gift shop, they have a marvelous selection our LucyBlue mittens. Definitely worth the trip! ❤️

Walking to work this morning with a load of sweaters that I just washed. My commute is short— my sister and I are neighbors and our studio is in her basement! These sweaters are extra thick and will make some super warm mittens. Anyone struggle with cold hands in the winter? Well, we’ve got you covered! Stay tuned for some gorgeous new creations. ❤️

My husband and I were cleaning out our basement and I found a badly stained vintage needlepoint pillow. I think my mom gave it to me probably 30 years ago, and it was old when I got it. Over the years, my style has changed, and the little needle point pillow has been sitting in my basement, aging in the dark. Well, thanks to the inspiration of my friend Lissy La Maison Lili , I decided to try to use some of that gorgeous needlepoint on a mitten! (She uses vintage needlepoint to make stunning, purses, and darling jean jackets— please take a look at her stuff!) I’d say these turned out pretty spectacular, and now I am obsessed! Anyone have any old needlepoint that’s just hiding in the basement? 💕 we will certainly give it a good home!

It’s Mitten Mugshot Monday! 💕 My sister gave me this mug a while ago when I was having a really baaaaad day. My tears instantly disappeared to laughter, and it helped so much! It was that sweet reminder that everything was going to be OK, and to stop and take a minute to remember ALL that I had to be GRATEFUL for. Most of you know that my name is Wendy, but did you know that our mom named me after the Wendy in Peter Pan? 🥰💕 ☕️
