Thrilled to Grand Open The Pursuit Loft, where we’ve taken the brand to the next level! This private showroom sits above our shop in the Short North and will feature the finest Pursuit Custom clothing and our top level of service in a gorgeous space with an amazing rooftop terrace.

The space is for Pursuit clients looking to enlist us to build out their wardrobe strategically and effortlessly over time! It’ll feature our new Handmade by Pursuit line and what we think is the most elevated shopping experience you’ll find.

And soon we’ll have our dedicated Pursuit Women’s showroom offering the second generation of our feminine cut clothing!

Yesterday Pursuit turned 15, what a remarkable honor to be doing what we love after all these years, and this new space gives you a glimpse into the next 15!

Our new ‘Handmade by Pursuit’ line combines the finest fabrics and materials with old school craftsmanship to create luxury garments that look, feel, and fit better. You’ll notice the soft pucker of the stitching and the gentle roll of the lapel. But it’s really a difference you really need to feel by trying on a garment. In The Pursuit Loft we’ll focus on craftsmanship, texture, color and all the hallmarks of the finest custom clothing so we were thrilled to work hand and hand with phenomenal Granville artist Amanda Love to bring those elements into our space through rich and beautiful art commissioned and curated just for our the project!

Amanda began her career studying bookbinding and running her own artisan studio in Chicago. In recent years she’s turned her expertise on its head and began making world-renowned fine art from old books. Her work is beautiful in color and depth and texture and also conveys powerful opposition to censorship and book banning.

At first glance the work is striking but once you see the depth and understand the layers to the work and the story, it becomes even more powerful!

In addition to four pieces constructed from elements of vintage books, Amanda also crafted a gorgeous suspended piece that hangs in our showroom and is made from raw merino wool yarn provided by our friends at Reda1865 in Italy, one of the world’s best fabric mills. The piece allows us to tell the story of the craft in cloth making and the importance of the highest quality raw materials in making amazing clothing.

20 years ago today Nancy & David Tran opened Perfect Alterations on Bethel Road! What a milestone for our friends who have been an integral part of our team for most of our 15 years! Over that time they have tailored more than 10,000 suits us and done it with care and quality and delivered them on time—all very difficult to do consistently! I’ve come to depend on them as some of the most reliable people in my world and they have been our longest running partners through many evolutions of our business.

When we first started working with Perfect Alterations their daughter Kristina was a kindergartner answering the phone for fun while hanging out with her parents at the shop and now she just started college in Cincinnati!

The business is not on social media and they didn’t even realize today was a milestone day until we were chatting yesterday and figured it out. But if you need alterations, go see Perfect Alterations and congratulate them on this huge milestone!
