Hands down my favorite food preservation purchase EVER 🥰
Chopping this much cabbage ( x probably 8 more cabbages?) just stinks. And yes you *can* use a food processor but I think the shreds turn to mush and isn't worth the convenience for me.
I was super stoked when I picked up this awesome heavy duty, wood + stainless shredder off eBay this Spring. Totally worth it. We are pretty serious about fermented sauerkraut with breakfast around here 💚
I think this is the biggest cabbage in the garden - not a state fair winner but at 11.5 pounds, I'm proud of it.... It's pretty much the only thing that grew well in the garden this year 😆
