Hello June! And happy Friday! Today's features a new spa in Upper Marlboro named Refreshing Springs Day Spa! While the spa has been open for 6 months, the owner, Mrs. Luci Bass is a licensed esthetician who is definitely not new to this!

Hello May! What a rainy weekend we've had. Well as the saying goes, April showers bring May flowers so I'm ready to see Prince George’s County in full bloom!

Did you know we have a county flower, shrub, and herb? The county flower is a daffodil (photo 2). The county shrub is Glenn Dale azaleas (photo 3), and the county herb is beebalm (photo 4). I've never heard of beebalm before but it is supposed to help with sore throats, digestive ailments, nausea, bee stings, rashes, and small cuts. Sounds like I should look into beebalm some more!

Have you been watching Bel Air on Peacock? I think it's brilliant how they've taken a great 90s sitcom and  created a current drama series.

I recently heard the star- actor, singer, rapper, and fashion designer Jabari Banks , mention that he's from both Philadelphia and Maryland so I got curious 👀. I don't know many details but apparently he attended Riverdale Baptist School in Upper Marlboro, MD. Do any of you all know him? Lol

There other fun facts that are directly related to his leading role. One obviously being his last name Banks is the TV family's last name. Also he's from Philadelphia just like the original character and actor, megastar Will Smith. I believe he has a sister named Jada, and Will Smith is married to Jada Pinkett-Smith. Banks also has a uncle in real life who's nickname is Phil. And get this, his uncle's real name is James - same as James Avery who played the original Uncle Phil (RIL). Talk about divine alignment!

Just want to send a little PG County love and wish much success to Jabari Banks! 💜💛...oh and side note: the new Aunt Viv played by Cassandra Freeman is superbly fly and I'm here for it all!

About a week and a half ago I had the pleasure of being a Special Awards judge at the 75th Annual Prince George’s Area Science Fair that was held at Flowers High School in Springdale, Maryland. Let me tell you, the children are smart, y'all! I witnessed amazing projects, thought provoking researching, and engaging discussions.

Everything from malaria, infant health, skin care, and using milk to create biodegradable plastic was presented. Many kudos to all who participated! I hope to be back next year as well 💜💛
