We’ll start at The Lazy Daisy Gift Store - Short Pump, head over for a warm welcome at The Gilded Crown Antiques, take time to explore the town of Urbanna & eat at a local restaurant, and finish the day at The Lazy Daisy Gift Store Hull Street!

I NEED YOUR HELP!!

I’m updating my son’s 1950s bungalow fireplace and giving it a more masculine yet timeless look. We’ve made a lot of progress, but now we’re stuck on one final decision…

By the way….I love how it looks so far but….

The mantel, which was originally white, has been painted Urbane Bronze by Sherwin-Williams and the walls are Repose Gray.

Now we can’t decide… should we paint the brick to match the mantel, or leave the original brick for contrast?

What an amazing day God granted me. I met Shelley in person. What a gift she is to me. She has been following my passion for years now. Our creative souls match one another. Her visit touched my heart in ways bigger than words can explain. God knew I needed her kind spirit. This business is way more than just being a retail shop. It’s the connections, the customers who become friends then family! My heart is literally overflowing! 🩷. GOD is extremely good!! Trusting HIS plan and path are everything!

Virginia Metalcrafters was a company founded in Waynesboro, Virginia, known for producing high-quality decorative metal items, often inspired by historical designs. They were particularly famous for their reproductions of Colonial Williamsburg items, including trivets, candleholders, and fireplace accessories. Their pieces are sought after by collectors for their craftsmanship and historical accuracy. Virginia Metalcrafters closed in 2006 after a century in business. What an amazing legacy!

This particular trivet, identified as the “Kings Arms” design and copyrighted in 1953, is part of their Williamsburg collection. The design likely references a historical inn or establishment, reflecting the company’s focus on American heritage.
