By far the dirtiest part of making this barrel head project.

I know there are lots of methods out there, but for this one and for my space, a wire brush works just fine. These barrel staves from were in excellent shape! Just a few superficial cracks but easily workable and they turned out amazing.

Alright...I can finally spill the beans! Awhile ago I was approached about creating wholesale pens to be sold via . Once the trigger got pulled, it was a race to get these knocked out in time.

The result was a beautiful variety of cherry and cocobolo wood pens with chrome hardware. Uou can check out the selection on AFA'S website!

Finished and on its way.

This US flag wall coin rack was built for a retiring aircraft maintenance officer in the United States Air Force — designed to hold the coins and memories from a full career of service.

Built with intention, down to the details:
• Extra-wide lower row to fit larger coins
• Scorched stripes for a more rugged, worn-in look
• Laser-engraved name and dates on the back to mark the milestone

Projects like this are more than just builds — they carry stories with them.

It’s been a while since I’ve taken on a project this size… and this one reminded me why I enjoy the process so much. 🪵🇺🇸

From the first cut to the final details, this US flag coin rack has been an awesome build — challenging, detailed, and worth every step along the way.

This piece is going to a retiring Maintenance Officer, built to honor years of service and the stories behind every coin it’ll hold.

Even better, 15% of this order is going toward supporting — turning this project into something that gives back as well.

Just another oil up video! Love the way this ambrosia maple, cherry, and Shenandoah walnut popped after that oil hits the grain! Yet some more beautiful species of wood from VA milled and shipped by .

Can't wait to get these out the door for my buddy at and see what he throws on the grill!
