A fox has recently made an appearance at the house. He sits right outside and stares in directly at me with his beady eyes. I think he’s trying to hypnotize me 😅 swipe for pics of him (side note, it’s still weird to me that foxes have vertically slit pupils. I didn’t know this until this year!).

Some barn owl owlets! Barn owls are the most widely distributed owls in the world and one of the most widespread species of birds. The barn owl is also considered the oldest of all owls in the world, with the first barn owl species showing up around 25-20 million years ago. Back then they were at least double the size we see today🦉

Hawk moths are the fastest moths in the world, reaching speeds of over 30mph. They are large, with wingspans over 5 inches. They also squeak when disturbed and it’s a pretty cute sound… Despite being a famous symbol for the movie Silence of the Lambs, these moths are harmless 🧡
