I just returned from another unforgettable journey to Nebraska, where I had the joy of sharing the 4th of July with my wonderful sisters Teresa and Cher and family while taking care of my dear Mama. Celebrating Independence Day in Nebraska was a true delight, making cherished memories. The warmth of the community shone brightly through the BBQs, fun conversations, and fireworks that lit up the night sky, making it an absolute pleasure. Fireworks are allowed there a few days prior to the 4th so all week it was a bang. We also squeezed in a visit to watch the inspiring movie 'Young Washington' from Angel Studios. What an outstanding and meaningful time it was, filled with yard work, baking, love and gratitude ❤️

Millions will be on the move this weekend to celebrate the 250th birthday of our country. I will proudly be one of them 🇺🇸

This is one of our vintage Surrealist long skirts. For those of you that weren’t familiar with our label 30 plus years ago, we were known for our long skirts. From soft denim (as shown here) to parachute cargo skirts, to broom stick layered skirts. -Comment if you remember our amazing skirts or if you own one. We sold them to Macy’s, Nordstrom’s, Boston Proper, Sundance, Soft surroundings and hundreds of specialty boutiques.
I am happy to have kept a few of these special vintage pieces for myself!

I am mixing a little white cotton poplin dress I picked up on the Amalfi coast with our light weight loose Paris jacket in mocha. This jacket has always been on of my favorite go to’s for style and comfort. …and like the 2 pockets for practicality in the front.
