Hey, it’s Alcatraz time again!

Here we are at the 52nd Anniversary of the Alcatraz Takeover & Occupation.

And to honor that seminal & hugely important piece of direct action, , and this year I am offering sports hats with original designs to show your support for the causes that the Alcatraz Takeover & Occupation brought to public attention 52 years ago.

The artwork is my own design, so if you see someone wearing one of these hats, you know that you're related!

I made these hats for the 50th Anniversary of the Takeover, but they were not ready in time. And last year was… well, y’all know what last year was.

So now, here they are!

I am offering Alcatraz Hats for sale - with ALL income donated to the INTERTRIBAL FRIENDSHIP HOUSE in Oakland, a community center promoting health & wellbeing.

I worked a huge celebratory dinner there for the 50th, and know that the Friendship House does excellent work in the community.

Contact me & I will create an order for you. Then soon you will receive a fine hat in the mail - AND, you will know that the entire amount for the hat will go to a worthy cause!

I have two basic styles of this hat:
A. Red Fist & Island, Two Feathers Up
B. Two Feathers Down

Each style is available on the same type of hats, of which there are two types:
1. Smooth Cotton in two colors: Black & Berry
2. Corduroy Cotton in two colors: Sage & Tobac

So to order, just spell out what you want: “Style A, Tobac Corduroy” or "Style B, Berry Cotton."

Hats: $22, plus $3 shipping ($22 goes directly to Intertribal Friendship House).

Your order can be paid via check or money order, or by PayPal. And, because I have a limited number of hats available at this time, please tell me a second choice of color or style.

Make your order and I will send you my PayPal address. Your hat will go in the mail within one day of the payment clearing.

i have finally (finally!) gotten my 'lil workshop' in some kind of order - finished doing the necessary upgrades to my cutting table... and now the organisation starts.

so i was going through a lot of 'stuff in boxes' in preparation for the next production run (the *first* production run in my new workshop and on my new table)...

and i came across some promo paperwork from chapeau's first iteration... when it was 'chapeau atelier.' and from the 'interim business' - the 'less elegant-sounding 'chapeau shirazi atelier'...

thought i'd post it here. most of the info is the same, the intent is very much the same, and i may even get back to making some of those original products that we created 25 years ago. we'll see.

yah, well, no fashion parties for a while... but we'll get there eventually!

in the meanwhile, i will be putting my shop back together and getting some cutting done, then some matching of fabrics, then comes the sewing. and perhaps when this is all over, folks'll want to have a brand-new hat! stay healthy, stay strong!
