Who am I + What is Hazel Hat Co.? 1/2

Hey! My name is Harlee, the owner of Hazel Hat Co. There’s been new faces around here so I just wanted to introduce myself and my shop! 🤍

Ever since I was a little girl, I loved putting together gifts, designing clothes, dancing, taking pictures, making silly little videos, etc. I was never perfect at one thing, but just loved trying anything! I graduated with a degree in Ministry Leadership in 2023 and am working in that field currently. I also knew that I wanted to do something that fulfilled the desire to create, meet people, and ultimately build something that was a combination of all the things I love. I cycled through different ideas over the years but decided to finally take the leap in building my own small business after being diagnosed with endometriosis at the beginning of the year. While I know that building something from the ground up is hard work, I knew it was something I could do at my own pace while still caring for my family, my church, and my body. The joy of this business for me is definitely vendor markets, I get to meet so many people, try new foods, meet so many talented artists, and other small business owners. Each person I meet is someone Jesus loves so deeply and I see Hazel Hat Co. as a means to share that love with anyone who walks into my pop-up boutique.

If I’m not at a market, then you’ll find me with my husband and our sweet dog, Hazel. At my church, or somewhere reading a book.

I want to be genuine in the struggles, and not try to be someone I’m not. I don’t always know exactly what I’m doing, and I fail often, but I am learning and growing as I go. In all of this, my full aim is to glorify the Lord in whatever I do. So if you’re interested in following along as I start my little adventure, then welcome, I’m glad you’re here!

If you are coming to the Hummingbird Festival for the food, then get ready! There are a ton of food trucks to taste all kinds of cuisine and festival foods. They are spread out around the festival so that you can find a treat no matter where the tummy rumbles!
