Hi there! I’m Esther, the face behind the dresses.
Long before I ever designed gowns for photographers, I was a little girl making Barbie outfits out of folded napkins and scraps of fabric.
After spending more than 10 years behind the camera as a photographer, I learned exactly how fabric moves in the wind, what colors photograph beautifully at golden hour, and what makes a woman feel absolutely magical during a shoot.
Every gown I create for Golden Hour Gowns is designed through both of those lenses—the little girl who dreamed up beautiful dresses and the photographer who understands how to bring them to life in an image.
I do a happy dance for literally every single gown that leaves my studio and heads out into the world for a photoshoot. Because every dress carries a piece of that childhood wonder with it.
There’s something incredibly special about knowing that an idea that once existed only in my imagination will become part of someone’s maternity session, motherhood photos, anniversary portraits, or creative vision.
From Barbie dresses made of napkins to gowns photographed around the world—it still feels like magic every single time.
