Growing up we camped at Salt Creek all the time. When I go back to visit the Port Angeles area it’s a must stop. I love that my son also finds it as magical as I do. We were lucky and got to come several times this summer, the second time we brought friends who had never visited the area before. Let’s just say they are planning a return trip soon! Always watch the tides as they can come in fast. First trip we had an amazing low tide and access to the island, and the second trip a month later, the high tide was coming in and was going to be a 6.0! So it can vary a lot! I told my friends to be aware of the high tide coming in when we were there, and they were shocked at how fast it did. Sandy beach, tide pools, several campgrounds and WW2 bunkers - there is so much to see!
