That outfit you just saw online might look AMAZING on her - and still do absolutely nothing for you.
And that doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with your body.

Here’s what we forget when we’re scrolling:
Influencers are usually showing you clothes with one goal in mind: to make the clothes look good enough that you want to buy them.

But “cute outfit” and “flattering outfit for YOU” are two very different things.
Before you hit add to cart, think about this:

PROPORTIONS MATTER.
A cropped jacket may hit perfectly at her natural waist but land at the widest part of your torso. Same jacket. Completely different effect.

BODY SHAPE MATTERS.
Two women can wear the exact same size and have completely different proportions - longer legs, shorter torso, fuller bust, straighter waist, wider hips, broader shoulders. Clothes interact with all of that.

HEIGHT MATTERS.
Those gorgeous wide-leg trousers on a 5’10” creator aren’t going to fall the same way on someone who’s 5’3”. That doesn’t mean you can’t wear them - it means you may need a different rise, inseam or shoe.

STYLING MATTERS — A LOT.
The tuck. The rolled sleeve. The belt. The shoe.
Where the jacket ends. Even showing a little wrist can change the visual proportions of an outfit.

THE CAMERA DOESN’T TELL THE WHOLE STORY.
Posing, angles, lighting, clips behind clothing and strategic tucking can make clothes look very different online than they do while you’re actually living in them.

And here’s the big one...

TRENDY DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY MEAN FLATTERING.
You don’t need every viral jacket, barrel jean, oversized blazer or matching set.
The goal isn’t to recreate HER outfit perfectly.

The goal is to figure out WHY you like it - and then recreate that feeling in a way that works for YOUR proportions, YOUR lifestyle and
YOUR personal style.

So the next time something doesn’t look on you the way it looked on the influencer...

Don’t immediately blame your body.
Maybe you just need a different cut, proportion, length or styling choice.
Buy clothes for the body you actually have - not the body modeling them on.
