The U.S. House has passed the Sunshine Protection Act, a bill that would make daylight saving time permanent and end the twice-a-year clock changes. ⏰

The measure passed 308-117 and now heads to the Senate. If approved there and signed by President Trump, Americans in most states would keep later sunsets year-round and no longer “spring forward” or “fall back.” The bill still faces hurdles in the Senate before it can become law.
