I ❤️ ZAPP…
No, seriously, I truly do. I’ve been coming to this show since I was a baby (no joke) to visit my aunt (The Soap Lady). I’ve always loved coming, & as I grew up, would come with her to her shows here - never did I dream I would then have a booth just a couple tents down from her at fifteen!! This show marked my 8th show, in my own booth, in the same spot, same field. I always tell people, “Zapp Field, right across the street from punkies place,” that’s where you’ll find me!
Before I started this journey, I was a severely broken version of myself. One I don’t recognize now & one lots have never even seen. I’m a completely different person now, but the reason(s) I started this business remains the same: I love being creative, to honor my dad, and to advocate for mental health - & because of this business, I get to do one of those everyday! The journey in running this business has been hard but extremely beautiful, rewarding, and has taught me so many valuable lessons & has gained me so many friends whom I cherish deeply! I would never trade it for the world.
Lots of you have watched me grow up in my booth in Zapp field. From me being fifteen, walking around the fields burning some hats, to this summer turning 20 & doing the same thing! I wish my dad could see this, see me grow up, see my art, walk around my booth, see me do what I love… however, even though he can’t, I know he would be BEYOND proud.
However, the fact I get to do this all with my mom definitely takes the cake! We have experienced so many trips, places, events, and things while running this business & have grown even more close then we were before. I could never thank her enough for helping this little hobby of mine become what it is today. I know now she’s happy I make “pretty art,” as she likes to say, instead of the monsters I used to draw🫣.
Thank you guys for our BEST SHOW YET & for everyone who has supported me through these past few years. It means the world!!!
I’m just glad I get to do what I love & the sad broken girl I was so many years ago doesn’t even exist anymore…
See you guys in the spring… in Zapp field, across the street from Punkies place, as always💖
