GOOD NEWS FOR H**P: We just gained four more weeks.

Today, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the federal funding bill containing a 4-week extension of the current federal h**p definition, delaying the federal h**p ban currently scheduled to take effect on November 12.

The bill passed the House 370–48, after previously passing the Senate 90–6. It now heads to President Trump’s desk.

If signed into law, the effective date of the new federal h**p restrictions will move from November 12 to December 11, giving Congress additional time to work toward a long-term solution for the h**p industry.

This is not a permanent fix, and our work is far from over. But every additional day gives our industry more time to advocate for a regulatory framework that protects consumers, supports farmers and small businesses, and preserves access to legal h**p products.

Over the last several weeks, h**p businesses, advocates and consumers across the country have made their voices heard, and we can’t let up now.

We now have four more weeks to keep fighting for a solution based on responsible regulation.

VICTORY: Senate Passes 4 Week H**p Extension in Continuing Resolution

Last night, the U.S. Senate passed a continuing resolution that includes a critical 4 week extension for the h**p industry.

If enacted, it will delay the most damaging provisions of the federal h**p ban from November 12 to December 11, 2026—giving us four more weeks to fight for a permanent regulatory solution.

This progress happened because the h**p community showed up. Farmers, business owners, retailers, consumers, veterans and advocates contacted lawmakers and made the consequences of this ban impossible to ignore.

Your voices made a difference.

However, the extension is not law yet. Because the Senate amended the funding bill, it must return to the House for approval and then be signed by the president

We have cleared a major hurdle, but the work continues. This extension gives us more time to advocate for responsible regulation that protects consumers, prevents youth access and preserves American jobs and lawful h**p products.

If they succeed, the entire national h**p industry is dead November 12.

Today or tomorrow, the Senate might vote on an amendment offered by Senator Ted Budd that would remove the h**p extension from the Continuing Resolution to keep government open. If adopted, this amendment would eliminate the temporary protection included in the Senate funding package and put the h**p industry back on track for a sweeping federal h**p ban scheduled to take effect on November 12.

🚨 ACTION ALERT: H**p Extension Language Is Under Threat 🚨

Senator Ted Budd has announced plans to offer an amendment that would remove the temporary h**p extension included in the Continuing Resolution (CR).

This extension is critical. It gives Congress the time needed to develop a thoughtful, long-term h**p policy rather than allowing a sweeping ban to take effect before lawmakers have finished their work.

The h**p industry supports strong safeguards to keep intoxicating products away from children, including age restrictions, responsible labeling, child-resistant packaging, and enforcement against bad actors.
Removing the extension will not solve these challenges- it will prevent Congress from finishing the job.

With all the changes happening tomorrow 07/31 regarding converted/synthetic THC (delta-8 thc, THCp, THCo, etc.) being made illegal by DSHS, we wanted to let everyone know that we're still business as usual. We quit selling delta-8 last year and have never sold any of the synthetic products.

All of our products use natural h**p derived delta-9 THC and are all still available in store. We've also added THC beverages from Willie's Remedy+ and Wyld, available now!

Felonies for possessing Delta 8??? While we’ve worked for years to REDUCE penalties for possessing cannabis, the state of Texas is working in the complete opposite direction. Everything is on the line this election cycle.

“Texas is banning Delta-8 THC and a broad class of similar cannabis compounds starting July 31, removing products that have been sold in smoke shops and gas stations for years.

Austin police say they will treat possession of Delta-8 as a state jail felony, which carries a punishment of 180 days to 2 years behind bars and a fine of up to $10,000.

That’s even though possessing small amounts of ma*****na is a misdemeanor and, by itself, generally doesn’t result in an arrest in Austin.”
