Meet Kelci, owner of Aloha Co. Maui, a Mama of two, who was born & raised here in Lahaina, Maui. Since having her kids she has been inspired to create island designed swim/beach gear for our little Keiki which include- Reusable Swim Diapers, Hooded Poncho Towels, One Piece Swimsuits, Boardies, & much more to come!

We introduce designer Chito, who makes our handmade Aloha bags and pouches on the island of Oahu. 💙🩷💛🧡💜

When she was a NICU nurse in Japan, she had little time to go shopping due to night shifts and other reasons (in the days before online shopping was widespread), so her hobby was to make clothes and bags from clothes she saw in magazines or in shop windows, clothes she wanted to wear, and wear them when going out or as gifts.

After moving to the US in 2001, she was complimented on the street for the clothes she made for her daughter, who turned 21 this year (while living in Montana in 2003), and was introduced to recommended shops (in Seattle, Missoula, and Bozeman), so she started selling them.
After moving to Hawaii in 2005, she continued to receive word-of-mouth recommendations for stores, and her bright fabrics and embroidery designs in particular have become long-selling items that are well-known as souvenirs that remind people of Hawaii. オアフ島でアロハポーチをメインにハンドメイドバッグやポーチを手掛けるデザイナーのチトをご紹介します。

　日本でNICU 看護師の頃、夜勤などで買い物に行く時間もなかなか作れず、(まだオンラインショッピングも普及していない時代)雑誌やショーウィンドウでみた服や着たい服、バッグを作ってお出かけしたり、プレゼントしていた趣味。

2001年アメリカ移住後、(2003年モンタナ在住時、)今年21才になった娘に作った服を道で褒められて, おすすめのお店を紹介してくれて(シアトルやミズーラ、ボーズマンで)販売。
2005年ハワイ移住後も口コミで販売先を紹介頂き特に彼女の明るい布使いと刺繍デザインは、ハワイを思い出すお土産としても定評があるロングセラーです。
