Back in the day, if you asked how I was doing, you got “medium plus” or “medium minus.” I was determined to answer as accurately as possible. (Neurodivergent much?! 🫠)

These days I’m doing 17 things at once, so this is the only answer I have time for. Just picture me as this frazzled hen.

I put the things you say in your group chat onto tea towels, tees, and hats.

Hi, I’m Tempa 🪡 I run a one-woman embroidery shop in Wake Forest, NC. Some designs are things I’ve muttered to myself, and some are things my friends said that were too good not to stitch. Either way, they end up running through my embroidery machines here in my studio, machine embroidered and finished by hand.

Most of y’all found me through the snarky towels. Some of you came for the 1900s tees (if you ever lost your whole wagon party to dysentery, those are for you). And the hats are about who you are, whether that’s the NC flag, the Pride flag, or both.

My favorite part of any market is watching someone read a towel at my booth and cackle out loud. So pull up a chair and stay a while.

Holly Springs, Durham, and my hometown Wake Forest Pride Fest, all in two awesome Fall weekends. 🌈

Holly Springs was my first visit and I’m smitten. Durham brought the quirk (and the food trucks). Wake Forest dodged a hurricane, gave us Rainbow Jesus, and my mom may have out-cheered the Raleigh cheerleaders.

The Frazzled Chicken “What? I’m Fine.” towel was the No.1 towel in Durham, which feels about right for all of us. 🪡

Come see me at Wake Forest PrideFest this Saturday! The OMG! Jesus tee is coming too, and Jesus would like it on record that he never said that.

PrideFest is our community gathering together in the name of true joy, and I can't wait to spend the day right in the middle of it. I'm bringing Pride hats in every color, the OMG! Jesus pocket tee, 1900s tees, neon peace tie-dye, and a stack of towels with opinions.

Official weekend update: nobody got rabies at Pride of Holly Springs.

Someone over by Fuquay-Varina spent the lead-up anonymously warning people they would. What folks actually got was a whole lot of joy and love, which you, my fabulous followers, already knew! 🥳

Saturday was Holly Springs, Sunday was the Durham Food Truck Rodeo, and both days were full of people getting to be exactly who they are. Thank y’all for a wonderful, beloved weekend!!

Next up is my favorite event of the whole year: Wake Forest Pride, Saturday, October 10th, in downtown Wake Forest. People of many faiths show up to that one to stand with the community, and it gets me every time. 😭💕Come see me there!!
