For this fall edition of Storytime with Frannie, we’re traveling through fashion to Mali to explore Bògòlanfini—commonly known as mudcloth.
Traditionally created using handwoven cotton and a dyeing process that incorporates fermented mud, Bògòlanfini is much more than an eye-catching textile. Its patterns and production are rooted in generations of Malian knowledge, artistry and cultural expression.
