Heading to North Carolina for an overdue family visit, with some picking for the shop on the side!
Haberdashery will be closed this Wednesday through Friday and the following Monday. Open normal hours this Saturday, 4/11, with Alex and her dog Betty, and possibly Sunday. But you can also arrange to shop when it’s closed - just send me a message and I’ll arrange to have someone meet you!

❄️ Haberdashery is taking a winter field trip to Japan ❄️

I’ll be traveling in Tokyo, Nagano, and Hakuba from January 20–28 for a bit of rest, a bit of exploring, and a bit of treasure hunting along the way. Haberdashery will be mostly closed but isn’t completely hibernating:

Ok all you textile lovers and those skilled at needlework, I have a question for you! What do I have here? I’ve not come across anything just like it; looks like embroidery on a sheer gauze type fabric? Is there a name for this? It’s very delicate. Age unknown. It’s a scalloped-edge rectangle about 9”x14”.
