I know I’m a few days late sharing this, but I’ve been trying to find the right words to articulate just how meaningful the Muscatine Women’s Leadership Summit was on Thursday.

If I had to sum it up in a few words, I’d say it was both beautiful and rejuvenating. The speakers and panel discussions were incredibly relevant to so many of the things I experience as a woman, wife, and mother.

Not only was I able to attend and bring back valuable insights to share with my coworkers, but I also had the privilege of participating as a vendor and showcasing Waves n Whiskey Boutique. Thanks to the incredible support and love shown to my small business, we were able to donate $250 to the McFarland, Whitlow, & Harris Families Support Fund through the .

Chief Kies said it best when he encouraged us to “continue to love our people.” That message has stayed with me. It’s something I hope to continue doing; not only through my role at , but also as a human being who loves being part of this community that has welcomed me with open arms.

I’m also grateful for the opportunity to catch up with my former coworkers and friends at . It was exactly what my heart needed.

Thank you to everyone who made this event so special. Year 4 will be just as memorable.

WOWZA! Y’all showed up and showed out for this weekend! THANK YOU to everyone who supported us and to the team at MADE who absolutely crushed it. It was a whole family affair this weekend! We were only missing our older girls. But the littles had the best time helping mama set up, eat all the treats and of course get the BEST face painting.

We cannot wait to see ya at the holiday edition of Made in December! Thank you!
