This weekend I participated in the Echo Lake Collaborative Conference, a 2.5 day studio working event at where the projects are collaborated on and auctioned to fund student scholarships and the art programs.

This year, I worked with some incredible talented makers, and this piece, Eclipse Maker, came together with the skilled hands of , , and .zobel_woodwork. I couldn’t be happier or prouder of the work we did on this, and it was selected as one of the three pieces to return for the 25th anniversary retrospective next year.

I’m already looking forward to next years Echo Lake Conference and getting to work with with these brilliant artists again!

🧐 The importance of brass brushing when oxidizing your silver!
You can see on the left (before brushing) compared to the right (after brushing) the difference in even coloring and finish. The right looks like shiny, even gunmetal while the left looks dull and spotty.

After dipping your work in liver of sulphur, dry your work completely, then run your brush gently over the surface to even out the oxidation. I'll use some wax to seal the pieces afterward to help the color last!

I just finished these custom earrings for a client using her carved turquoise stones. The tops are silver filigree, all soldered and assembled by hand! 😱

Making custom jewelry and working with clients is my favorite part of my job. I love designing for interesting stones and my customer's personal tastes to bring their ideas and pieces to life.

✨ All the bits are coming together ✨ much of my work is custom. I love working with clients to create unique pieces for them to have for years to come. This pair of earrings are sterling silver using my clients carved turquoise pear stones. I’m doing fine filigree work for the top in the shape of a dainty flower for the statement stone drops.
