This wood encased beauty is one of Sansui’s earliest solid state receivers, the Model 3000A. Many online say it is the one the most sounds like a tube amp. Sansui, like everyone else had just phased out or were in the process of phasing out their tube amps in favor of solid state. They knew the solid state amps had to sound as close as possible to the tubes. It’s got a healthy 45 watts per channel. Which is more than enough to power most speakers and sound good doing it. I’ve gone through it, cleaned all the pots and switches and replaced the dial lights with white LEDs I’ve got this one priced to go at $425.
