Happy Small Business Saturday folks! While I won't be participating in anything in particular today (I'll be at tomorrow for a Pop-Up!), I thought its been a while since I've shown my face around here.

Did you know that small businesses make up 44% of the US's GDP annually? Did you also know that just about half of small businesses only have one to 4 employees (including the owner)?

Keep your money in your community. Find some gifts from a local maker or artist. You'll be doing far more good than getting any cheap plastic thing from Amazon.

If at first you don't succeed, try (and fail) again...

Sometimes you just get this idea in your head and you need to see it through. That was this bag concept (picture 1). Wonky pocket, didn't love the structure, ended up being much harder than it probably needed to be. Hell bent on making something work, I scrapped it and tried for something new.

Went back to what I do know the second time around (picture 2), and while the concept is there, the flaws are also VERY present.

There's a lot of stuff in this shop that rarely sees the light of day, it's all in the process.
