 Final Pairs of 100% Cashmere Armies & Slouch Hats 

Hello Friends,
I wanted to let you know that I still have a few pairs of my cozy 100% cashmere "Armies" (arm warmers) and several of my cashmere slouch hats. Of course, every item is handmade by me, and once they’re gone, I’m not sure if or when I’ll be making more. So, if you’re interested in something cozy for yourself or as a gift, now’s a good time to reach out.

Pricing as follows:

• $55 per item (Armies or slouch hats) plus shipping
• $50 each when you buy any two or more items (mix and match Armies and hats as you like), and I’ll cover standard U.S. shipping for your order!

If you see something you like, please dm me which pieces you’re interested in, and I'll check to see if they're still available (first-come, first-served), and if they are, I’ll send you a payment link. There aren’t many left, so feel free to reach out if you have a favorite color in mind.

And thank you, as always, for your interest and support of my work throughout the years.

Wishing you a warm and comfortable winter!

Our annual pilgrimage to Nervous Nellies to experience the wonderful art of Peter Beerits. Every year it’s an adventure to explore what he’s made through the winter and where he’s changed things. This year we chatted with Peter and E got to tell him how much his art and this magical place has meant to him all these years.

Keep making art Peter. And everyone. It’s more important than you may know.

Hello crafty friends, check this out!. People are leaving scarves in public places to help warm people up (especially folks experiencing homelessness).

As someone who makes scarves, I'm putting this on my list of ways to secretly give back.

Does anyone want to join me?

If you do, let me know or take a picture. Or, just keep it a secret and allow it to warm your heart (and not become a social media stunt).

And I especially love this idea: "Volpe - who always keeps a bag of scarves in her car in case she spots someone in need..." Yes! This will be so easy for me to do. I love this!

And if you're interested in doing something more organized, there's info in the article.

Keeping people just a little bit warmer, one toasty scarf at a time.

(File this under What we do matters. It ripples out. It counts.)

The 14 handmade scarves were a mystery. Ten years ago, they appeared around the necks of famous statues in Ottawa on a chilly January day. Each scarf was tagged with a note that read: “I am not lost! If you are stuck out in the cold, take this scarf to keep warm.” It was later revealed that a fe...

As some of you know, I got my Master's degree in Mindfulness Studies during the pandemic. I wrote this piece about making art and some of the things I've come to understand about why I make art and what it does for me (as I see it now, through a mindfulness lens).

I'm proud of this one.

Enjoy!

Our Summer 2023 issue was a long time in the making. The Fiber Art Now team had the idea to include a Call for Entry for paper in this year’s lineup. Not knowing what the response would be, we took a chance. The result? Paper Made was one of our most popular calls of all time, and the artwork feat...

I can’t tell if this is fiber art or some seaside shanty harbor town traditional seafaring thing. Either way it’s weird and lovely and I want to put my hands in it.
