In Mexico, Día de los Mu***os (Day of the Dead) is a beautiful tradition honoring loved ones who have passed. Families create ofrendas, or altars, with photographs, candles, marigolds, favorite foods, and meaningful objects to welcome their spirits home. It is a celebration of life, memory, and the enduring connections we carry with us.
In that spirit, we’ve created an altar in one of our shop windows in loving memory of my mother, Sharon Hays, who recently passed away. Mexico held such a special place in her heart, and it felt like a fitting way to celebrate her life, her adventurous spirit, and the many relationships she nurtured over the years.
We invite you to stop by, spend a moment with the window, and perhaps reflect on someone you hold close in your own heart. The window will be up through Monday, Nov 2nd.
