‼️ We are so proud of fellow St. Louisian and now Congresswoman-Elect Cori Bush!

Bush won a House seat in Missouri, becoming our home state's first Black woman to represent the state in Congress.

"As the first Black woman and also the first nurse and single mother to have the honor to represent Missouri in the United States Congress, let me say this: To the Black women, the Black girls, the nurses, the essential workers, the single mothers, this is our moment," she said.

"To all the counted outs, the forgotten abouts, the marginalized, and the pushed asides. This is our moment," Bush wrote on Twitter. "We came together to end a 52-year family dynasty. That's how we build the political revolution."

Even with the huge amount of early voting happening, it’s likely that polling places will still be extremely busy on Election Day. Make sure you’re informed, you know your rights, and get prepared! 🗳

Voting can be intimidating on it’s own, but the reality is that there are awful things happening at the polls already — voters being harassed, being told they cannot vote by poll workers, getting pepper sprayed on their way… It’s awful.  Make sure to call the Election Protection Hotline (numbers listed above) if you are feeling unsafe in any way on Election Day.

Did you know? 92 million eligible voters did not get out and vote in 2016. That means that nearly half of eligible voters chose NOT to vote in the 2016 election. Let’s do a better job of getting out there and voting this 2020 election!
