🚜 County Fair Special 🚜

I had a vision for our County Fair special graphic tee, and seeing it come to life makes me even more excited than I imagined. 🤍

Agriculture has always been a huge part of my life. It’s shaped who I am, taught me the value of hard work, and introduced me to some of the best people I’ll ever know. It’s also at the heart of Hometown Soul. This boutique was built to celebrate the small-town lifestyle, the families who work from sunrise to sunset, and the people who keep our communities going.

That’s why this design means so much to me. It’s more than just a graphic tee—it’s a reminder that the men and women in agriculture provide the food we eat, the clothes we wear, and so much of what we enjoy every single day. They deserve to be celebrated, especially during fair season.

One thing I do want to mention is the phrase “sober.” I understand sobriety is a deeply personal journey for many people, and I never want this design to minimize or make light of that. The phrase is a well-known expression highlighting the important role agriculture plays in producing the grains, fruits, and other ingredients used in beverages. My intention is simply to honor our farmers and the impact they have on our everyday lives.

I truly couldn’t be happier with how these turned out, and I can’t wait to see them out at the fair. 🌾💙

Home of the free because of the brave.

Today, we celebrate the freedom Randy loved so deeply and the country he was proud to serve. Randy was a proud American, a veteran, and someone who never took for granted the sacrifices made for our freedom.

As we gather with family, wear his shirt, and remember the countless memories he gave us, we’re celebrating him too. His love for his country, his family, and his community will never be forgotten.

While fireworks light up the sky tonight, we’ll be thinking of Randy and the pride he carried for the red, white, and blue. We know he would have been celebrating right alongside us.

Thank you for your service, your friendship, your laughter, and your love for this country.

Today, we celebrate America.

Completely shattered by the passing of Randy.

To know him was to love him. He would do anything for anyone at the drop of a hat. I could give him so much crap, and he’d fire right back with that signature grin. He always listened to my wild ideas and never once told me I was crazy.

Randy was one of the biggest supporters of both of my businesses from the very beginning. Whether it was photography, the boutique, or some new idea I was dreaming up, he was always cheering me on. He was an even bigger supporter of our FFA chapter and our students. He believed in what we were building and never hesitated to show up, lend a hand, or encourage the kids.

I’ll miss calling to drag him out of the house. I’ll miss getting to dance with him. I’ll never forget karaoke when we all dedicated Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue to him. And when I was ready to give up and leave the school, he was always there with a hug and a reminder that I couldn’t leave.

Please keep the Phillips family in your prayers. They may not be my blood, but they are absolutely my chosen family.

And while you’re thinking of them, please also think of my parents. My dad has worked every major incident in our county for the last 34 years. He takes care of the scene while my mom takes care of everyone else. I don’t know how they find the strength to do it, but they continue to show up when people need them most.

People often talk about being the police chief’s daughter, but this is the side of it that no one ever wants to experience.

To anyone struggling with mental health: please don’t face it alone. I’ve had my own struggles and have always tried to be open about them. My door is always open, no matter the time of day.

Find your people. Love them hard. Check on them often.

Our community has lost a good one, and he will be missed more than words can ever express.

Prayers for the entire Phillips family. 🤍
