Good morning! I’ve been seeing a lot of reels on resale stores verses antique malls verses consignment stores.
I have a few thoughts on all of this.
Malls are great but costly for the owners. Something that is not publicly spoken on; insurance cost, taxes, payroll if you have employees. All costs are hard at times to figure into budgets.
Consignment is a balancing act for me between trying meet the owners obligations and the consigned , I think you can see a component left out the customers.
For me consignment didn’t work. Huge amount of paperwork.
Business is tough, if take it all in you must believe in yourself and I believe at least in resale be different in some way because customers have choices.
But here in my store fair pricing, true customer service, community involvement. But that’s just me.
I’m just different.
