Shabbat: means rest, and it is the seventh day of the week.
Shevah: means 7, also connected with 'shavuah' (week-7 days), shavuot (lit. weeks). Also 'shvuah' - oath.
Shav: to return.

The seventh day of the week serves as a 'return' to the first of the following week, following a cycle. In the Biblical tradition, it is the day of rest and 'return' to the Creator.

"Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world" 1 John 4:4

It is so easy to get sucked into this physical reality. When you think you're all spiritual and dandy the world comes and punch you in the face.
Those 'nudges' are reminders that there is more beyond what we can SEE with our eyes.
Reality is not what we can see with our eyes open, but what we 'see' when we close them.
Let us not allow the burdens of the world to lead us astray from what is real and true.

This Chanukiah was created by Israeli metal sculpture Yaron Bob, with rockets fired into Israel by Hamas from Gaza.

We have the power to take hate and transmute it into light. Love will always overcome fear and light will always dispel darkness.

That’s why we celebrate... Happy Hanukkah! 🕎🙂

Out of NOWHERE, a BAPTIST man orders a "Jerusalem flag" for his church and writes me an e-mail to voice his support for Israel and the Jewish people.

Yes, Moses said something along these lines in Deuteronomy 30! 😌
It is closer than we think.
In the last place we would look.
Hidden in plain sight.
We can never lose it. But we could spend our lives without ever seeing it.
