🌿 Did you know we render all of our own beef tallow right here at home?
One thing I sometimes forget to share is just how much of our process happens right here on our little homestead in Maine!
My husband spends hours rendering the beef suet we source from Maine farms, turning it into the tallow we use in our skincare products and candles . It's a process that takes time, patience, and a whole lot of care, but it's important to us to have control over what goes into the products we make for your families.
We don't purchase commercially rendered tallow to use in our products. We start with our own raw ingredients and handle the rendering process ourselves, right down to the tallow we use in our soaps, body butters, balms, and even our candles. 🤎
For me, Heritage Homestead Co. has always been about getting back to the basics, using simple whole ingredients, and being thoughtful about what we put on our skin.
It's not always the quickest way to do things, but it's our way, and I'm proud of the care that goes into every batch.
