My first wooden bowl! Definitely still learning, but I like the rustic vibes it's giving off. Apparently once you first start shaping the bowl you are suppose to let it sit in its shavings for a few weeks to dry out (otherwise it shrinks and cracks). I didn't know that at the time so this one cracked. BUT I filled the cracks and bottom of the bowl with glow in the dark resin...so I guess what I am trying to say is "THIS BOWL GLOWS IN THE DARK AND I LOVE ALL OF ITS IMPERFECTIONS!" (disclaimer: this bowl is for keys and the random junk I find in my pockets at the end of the day. It is not for soup...or various other forms of food) :)

Also playing with leftover leather. I couldn't find a wallet that functioned the way I wanted it to a few months back so I made one. Has a snap closure for security and a triangle cut out to access credit cards easier (you push the cards out via the triangle cut out rather than pulling them). Solid little project, my original prototype has taken a beating the last 7 months but looks better than ever!

We love experimenting with what kinds of awesome materials we can use to make pens! Right here we laminated different types of wood with corian! We have a purpleheart/beige corian combo and a walnut/beige corian combo in the works. If it turns out how we hope, we will have some pretty sick matchups! Stoked to see what unfolds. Will update soon on how they turn out! ....if they do not break on the lathe ;P

This maple and gold Native design pen was made for a special buddy of mine that has no idea it is being sent to them! And I doubt they will have any clue that it is for them, therefore I am sharing it with you all! I'll tag the lovely individual when I am notified they have received it! We love a little mystery over here are CF Designworks! ;)
